Why We Built This Site
New Mexico gives the public broad access to many court records, but Otero County record custody is not held in one place. District Court case copies come from the Twelfth Judicial District clerk. Magistrate and municipal matters may have their own court contacts. Marriage licenses, recorded instruments, and ex-officio probate clerk duties sit with the Otero County Clerk. Jail custody and sheriff records use separate county channels.
The goal is to organize those local routes clearly, using the same office names used by Otero County, New Mexico Courts, and the Twelfth Judicial District.

- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
